MITMS project
Moodle is already well established in the education sector. The Moodle Industry Training Management System project leverages Moodle with an incremental investment focused on the specific needs of industry and vocational training in contrast to the traditional educational setting. In contrast to a purely academic environment, tools for vocational based training tend more towards performance management and productivity gains. There is a particular focus on competency management (skills-gap analysis), personal development planning, training management tools (i.e. booking physical resources such as training rooms) and enterprise reporting. This project is primarily focused on addressing those functionality gaps.
