Teacher Introduction

About the Instructor

My name is Christian Winters. I’ve been developing university level online courses for several years now. I have a M.S. in Education and have spent a lot of time in the 6-12 classroom. I have taught classes in Social Studies, Computer Science, Finance & Marketing, & and; Math.

Teaching Philosophy

One thing that defines us as human beings is our ability to pass knowledge from generation to generation. My role as educator is to encourage this passing of knowledge while equipping students with the desire to continue this tradition. This process encourages students to better themselves through learning, so in turn they may better their families, communities and the world. Education empowers individuals to positively impact their own future by constantly progressing forward. This characteristic of education ensures that it is never stagnant and never regressing. Learners deserve an educator that is focused on progressive education that revolves around their needs and learning styles.

Personal Life

I live close to the Nashville area and I am a Mixed Martial Arts practitioner. I have been practicing MMA now for two years. I hold no degree or rank of completion of accomplishments. I simply practice MMA for the physical & mental health aspects; as well as, the enjoyment.

Also, I am a huge Science and Military History Buff. I am currently reading the book written by Gates Mcfadden "Quantum Evolution." In her book, she describes various life forms and their evolution matched against the adversities of given environments. The other book I'm currently reading was written by Carl Von Clasewitz "Theories on War." In his book, he describes the evolution of Military engagement and presents theories that are so profound that all Officers in the U.S. Military; as well as, other nation militaries embrace as apart of their officer training.

Lastly, I hope to inspire all those around me with my unique experiences and a refined perspective of academicism.
