Mahara 1.2.4, 1.1.8, and 1.0.14 Released
These releases contain fixes for security vulnerabilities (Arbitrary code execution in 1.0.13 and 1.1.7, SQL injection in 1.0.13, 1.1.7 and 1.2.3). We strongly recommend upgrading to 1.2.4, 1.1.8 or 1.0.14 at the earliest opportunity.

Written by people from the Mahara Partner TDM with help from Nigel Mcnie, Alex Büchner, Heinz Krettek and others.
News - Knight News Challenge
We welcome any comments or supportive voting on the concept outlined for the Knight News Challenge, a US based innovation fund for new journalism idaes. See the short proposal here. While it's not the core mission of the Mahara project, we see significant benefits in having rich interoperability between a pure eportfolio environment and wider publishing networks.
Mahara version 1.2.0 (stable) released
Version 1.2.0of Mahara has been released. Mahara is a user-centric Open Source ePortfolio System based on an Artefacts, Views and Groups Framework.
This is the next major upgrade for Mahara sites, and contains many cool new features, including six themes, a rewritten files section, a full import/export system using the LEAP2A standard, support for submitting views to Moodle for assessment (requires some moodle customisations), an improved Views interface, RTL language pack support and various usability tweaks, small enhancements and fixes across all areas.
News - Mahara 1.2.0 Beta 4 Released
Hi everyone,
The latest, and I hope last, of the betas for Mahara 1.2 has just been released. The biggest piece of news regarding this is that Mahara has full LEAP2A support - in particular, you can export your account from one Mahara, and import it again to the same or a different Mahara, and the new account will have all of the data (files, blogs, Views) that the old account had.
