News - Knight News Challenge

We welcome any comments or supportive voting on the concept outlined for the Knight News Challenge, a US based innovation fund for new journalism idaes. See the short proposal here. While it's not the core mission of the Mahara project, we see significant benefits in having rich interoperability between a pure eportfolio environment and wider publishing networks.

News - Mahara 1.2.0 Beta 4 Released

Hi everyone,

The latest, and I hope last, of the betas for Mahara 1.2 has just been released. The biggest piece of news regarding this is that Mahara has full LEAP2A support - in particular, you can export your account from one Mahara, and import it again to the same or a different Mahara, and the new account will have all of the data (files, blogs, Views) that the old account had.

    Code Contribution Policy

The Code Contribution Policy is now official. From now, all submitted patches will need to comply with these terms, to ensure that all contributions are legal. Mostly, this won't affect anyone, other than that you'll have to "sign" your patches. See the document for more details.

The final policy only requires that you license your changes to us - you keep your copyright on the code.
